Killarny is one of those places that you can't stop thinking of once you've been there. It's part of Rainbow Country. A well know part of Canada known for its beauty. Its uniqueness puts it a the top of my list of kayaking destinations.

This is one of my favorite pics. This ledge is about sixty feet up from the water. When I got to the top I was pleased to find one of natures park benches. See the bench in the next photo.

Here's the bench. Quite comfortable and a very nice view. A great place to sit back and enjoy the weather.

There's over Thirty Thousand islands to choose from in this area of Georgian Bay. A GPS is definitely a must if venture away from the mainland.

This is a small bay which offers protection from the sometimes rough water of Georgian Bay.

I came across a couple of playful Otters. They were as curious about me as I was about them.

Another pic of the Otters.

That's my Kayak. I'm very pleased with it. It tracks well and has a very comfortable seat. The Carbon Fiber paddle makes a big difference when your paddling all day.

Baron Canyon Ontario, Canada

My Rating: 7.5
Location: Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario Canada

I couldn't have picked a better location for my first trip! I stayed overnight at the camp ground, then started early the next morning, down river from the Canyon. It's nothing like the "Grand", but it was impressive to me.

This is a view of the Baron river after the only portage on the way to the canyon. The portage required a couple of rest stops, but wasn't too bad!

The scenery is great here. Algonquin Park has an abundance of wildlife. Along the river, you will find camp sites. The camp sites are sparsely located, which doesn't take away from the natural environment.

This photo was taken at the provincial campground located on lake Travers. Every provincial campground I have stayed at, has been well maintained.

This is a photo from the top of the canyon. There are hiking trails throughout this area. Spending the night at the campground allowed me to spend one day kayaking and another hiking.
